Livia has always had a big appetite and embraced her introduction to solid foods with great enthusiasm. Being a baby that prefered to stay up all day and night, two tired and desperate parents crossed their fingers for that a fuller tummy would finally bring a decent night’s sleep. We were pretty excited!
Anyway, Livia couldn’t get the next spoon of porridge quick enough and the scene can pretty much be described as ten starving baby birds battling for food. Struggling with catching up with Livia’s pace and demand for more, we quickly realised that at least half of the porridge (along with drool) disappeared down her face and under her chin in a beautiful culinary mix. The need for a change of body or pyjama became apparent.
Dad did the feeding and mum the changing after.
One evening, in his sleep or trying to sleep a brilliant idea popped into daddy Sondres head. A bib with a high neck to stop the spill from reaching the clothes beneath. It had to be tested. So the next challenge would be to find out where the local fabric store was located. A challenge Sondre had never experienced before. Well, after thorough research he found one, bought some suitable fabric and started sewing or at least tried to sew. After a few hours with tumbling on the sewing machine, a prototype emerged. It was close to magical! The same night the prototype was tested in action and it worked perfectly. It did not give a good night sleep, but we realised that this was the beginning of something exciting.
